Today's reading
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pages 192-204 (Joshua 15 - Judges 3)
Something to ponder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What do you notice that caused Israel to plummet into rebellion so quickly? (Judges 2:6-15)

Key verse
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15
Reminder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God gives us free will, which we exercise continuously, often in ways that don't honor God. That's ONE of the reasons that persevering through the bumpy parts of this journey are so important. We honor God by keeping our commitment to him, when we can freely choose to do otherwise.

Encouragement
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"For someone who had never read the Bible, this was the perfect class."
Karen Payne, graduate and ministry board member
Resources + Community
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are doing this with a group, consider preparing a snack or taking some unexpected refreshments to the next meeting. Maybe get one or two others from the group to help. No need to be fancy... just extend the grace of God to your fellow travelers.
