The B90 Daily - Day 19

I trust you are doing well with your readings. What a great time in the Lord learning more about him. We continue on in Judges and begin Samuel today.

I want to remind you if you are falling behind you will want to get current as the more you fall behind the harder it will be to stay caught up. Read from where you are little by little. You wont want to skip around. You can make this journey, even if you have to read a few extra days at the end of the journey. What an amazing challenge.

I have had a few tests already and I am sure you have also. I encourage each of us to hold on to his words, when we become weak and have no energy to press on - we can gather strength from our Lord and He will help us to press on.

Psalm 121: 1-8 1 I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Continue to keep your eyes fixed on the Lord and walk daily in the armor of God. Keep telling yourself you can do this and what a great reward to come as we complete this challenge. 2010 is a great year for change and a receiving year for everyone willing to accept what the Lord has waiting for us. With a little work and much growth I am sure we are going to have a great year in the Lord.

Blessings to all of you! Keep up the great work!

Today's reading
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pages 216-228 (Judges 15 - 1 Samuel 2)
Something to ponder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Samson confides in you that he has trouble with women but doesn't understand why. What would you tell him? (Judges 13-16)

Bonus Question: A ton of life lessons in the book of Ruth. What's yours?

Key verse
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me."
Ruth 1:16-17
Reminder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Samson made a big impression on me as a young boy. Based on children's Sunday School, I expected Samson's story to cover SEVERAL BOOKS of the Bible, not a mere four pages! What are some of your preconceptions that have been shattered by your reading?

Encouragement
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I've made several attempts to read through the Bible in a year. When reading the Bible in a year, so many things can come up and you get swayed and sidetracked."
Carl Williams, Senior Pastor, True Deliverance Bible Fellowship
