1 Corinthians 6:1-11
Avoiding Lawsuits with Christians
When one of you has a dispute with another believer, how dare you file a lawsuit and ask a secular court to decide the matter instead of taking it to other believers! 2 Don’t you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can’t you decide even these little things among yourselves? 3 Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. 4 If you have legal disputes about such matters, why go to outside judges who are not respected by the church? 5 I am saying this to shame you. Isn’t there anyone in all the church who is wise enough to decide these issues? 6 But instead, one believer sues another—right in front of unbelievers!7 Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? Why not let yourselves be cheated? 8 Instead, you yourselves are the ones who do wrong and cheat even your fellow believers. 9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Over the course of my years walking with the Lord, I have learned much through the pain I endured through my walk before and even while walking with Christ. In that time of hardships, I can not over look the amount of spiritual growth I gained. I am proud to admit, of all I have gone through in my life
A pottery maker must mold their clay in to the art they desire it to be and then place their art in a Kiln to be baked. While in the Kiln the clay goes through the noted process of hardening, burning or drying.
As a believer, we are called to share the gospel of Christ with others. We will endure much hardship in this process of sharing His Truth. The enemy is ready and waiting in every direction we turn towards. The greatest part of all, Every direction we turn in, our Lord and Saviour is walking there beside us scaring the enemy a way. Whether we are witnessing to the bum on the side of the street, Serving in a ministry outside the church or inside the church. Where ever we are speaking Gods Truth, We must never be caught off guard by darts the enemy sends our way. Unfortunately, the enemy can be every where we are, including the church! This is why it is important and I urge believers everywhere to stay grounded in your word! Gods word is not only His Truth! It is life, It is strength, It is a powerful weapon given to all believers to use against any attack the enemy sends our way.
- Hardening their mold - making the mold more stronger, able to withstand much = becoming stronger in Christ and able to withstand any arrow the enemy may send our way.
- Burning their mold - removing the excess material off of the mold, sealing the gaps = removing all that may be hindering spiritual growth and sealing any gap where the enemy can sneak in. Healing old or open wounds and filling them with Christ's Peace, Joy & Love. Beautifying the spirit.
- Drying their mold - After it is all said and done, the beauty of their mold is apparent = The inner spiritual beauty is revealed for all to see, the spirit is a new creation in Christ that is stronger and more grounded in His truths.
::: NOTE: NO Degree can offer anyone
Listen, I am going to put myself in the fire a sec and be bold and blunt, so turn your cheek if you do not wish to read this part: I don't believe we need any special degree behind us when we say or speak to anyone about Gods Word or the experiences we have behind us. I do believe that we must have a firm grounding and knowledge of the Word of God and a personal realtionship with Him to speak about His word. All the experience and credentials you need are through Jesus Christ and our personal experiences with Him and Through Him. And... Believe you.. me, I will admit that I personally have more then enough experience behind me in a lot of areas, then "some" people today with or with out a degree behind them.
Whats my point? ::: Zip your lips! ::: Don't trash talk anyone or boast about your experiences to the extent that you are insulting others or making them feel like they are unworthy to be used in the kingdom of God.I take pride in the fact that our Lord and Saviour will call "anyone" to be used for His kingdom! If you didn't know that, now is the time to learn this by reading His word! It troubles me when I hear someone say, "that they or that so and so" are not useable for Gods Kingdom because they do not have the proper credentials (hince - Degree) behind them to fully be efficient in operating for the Kingdom of Christ. Shame on you, eat your words or allow me to shove them down your throat for you. (Pretty blunt and to the point and probably a dose of rude on top of it)
I don't believe that anyone has a right or authority to proclaim they are the only one who hears from God! If you believe that, you are sadly mistaken and I rebuke that spirit of religion that has taken root and dominion over you. ::: The God that I serve is the same God of Yesterday, Today and Forever. He speaks today just as He did then and He speaks to ANYONE that WILL Hear Him and Obey Him.Seriously, praise God for our degrees and credentials we recieve today through education. BUT.. DO NOT throw the degree around as though you are better then others. ::: Slap yourself in the face and say hush before you do! ::: Not only are you putting yourself in HOT water, your slapping your Heavenly Father in the face by boasting about what He has already told you not to boast about! Degree or NO Degree and I put it bluntly, "I dont care who you are,"
Matthew 7: 12 “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. ::: (Luke 6:31).I always tell my kids: If we can not speaking kindly to each other, then we should not speak at all! I do my very best to lead by example.
I am not perfect by no means but I have gone through enough in my life to make me want to strive for the perfection then sit with all the drama and inconsistancies of every day life. I deliberately go out of my way to avoid individuals who carry with them the tendancy to create drama, gossip and other negative influences they may carry around their life. Is this wrong, I don't believe so. God gives us common sense to use, especially in situations like these. To this very day, It amazes me how grown adults can not follow the same advice given to their kids and most of them are given through out the Word of God. Through my frustrations in the post, I hope that today you have been given insight or encouragement to what ever you may be faced with in your walk with Christ. May your day be fully blessed in all you do!
