Hacker Alert!

Hey everyone, there has been reports of Accounts being hacked in to lately in banks here where we live. Just a warning to you out there.. OUR Bank account was Hacked into this weekend, my husband just got paid and they wiped it all out. Because of this we missed our Annual Air show visit and other things we had planned.

We were able to stop payments on all charges, but we have a frozen account as a result until this is resolved. We have Investigators on top of this situation. Warning to you keep a watch ful eye on your bank accounts and personal information.

We are going to watch ours closer then usual from now on and we are going to use gift cards for every purchase instead of our debit card. I never have and still dont trust our banking system today so other precautions will be made to ensure our money is safe and our personal information.

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” - Thomas Jefferson

What things can you do to ensure your identity and accounts are safe:

- Credit checks each year for every member of your family

- Watch all personal accounts. If you suspect a problem report it immediately and change all passwords

- Never charge any online purchases to your debit/credit card. If you must purchase online buy a visa gift card and use that to pay for your online purchase. At least if that number is stolen their will be little to no money on it and it is not to your personal accounts.

- Make all your payments via Money orders or Visa Gift Card. I never use checks especially now that most banks are charging you for every purchase with a check or atm use.. The more fees they can add on for money the more We are pulling away from using the banks to rely on my payments. We typically pay in money orders all payments that we can other wise we will use a gift  card or get out a little cash to pay. We will definatley rely on gift cards more often when pumping the gas or purchasing items.

- Shred Everything!

Never give your personal information out to anyone ** ESPECIALLY over the phone or computer **

- Get insured on all of your accounts and identity theft.

When using ATMs or Charge card transactions :

- Dont be afraid to look like a fool tugging on the ATM  card insert area or the transaction swiping area at any Check Out or Uscan Area..  Tip:  IF they ask you what you are doing, simply tell them you are taking pre-cautions to protect your identity. These areas are prime targets for look alike card accepters/swipers to scan your card and duplicate your number to their machines so they can make a duplicate card to use your numbers for transactions they want. Not to mention that some have found ways to hacking in to the computer itself. Never hurts to take precautions.

Our card is still here in our hand and our card number was hacked. So any of the above could of happened. But not no more. We will put in the extra effort to prevent this again.

Its more work - BUT it is well worth the extra work in the long run if it means taking precautions on protecting our privacy, identity and accounts.

I place economy among the first and most important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers to be feared. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. If we run into such debts, we must be taxed in our meat and drink, in our necessities and in our comforts, in our labor and in our amusements. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labor of the people, under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy.

- Thomas Jefferson [What would Jefferson say today?]

Blessings to all of you!
