7 Pillars of Health - Water [Part 2]

We left off in the last post discussing, Water Rationing and What water does for the body? In this post we will cover: How much Water consumption we need, Tap Water and why it is not good to drink? [Keep in mind - There is so much to cover, I gurantee we will have to carry some of this over in to a final post [part 3] so please bare with me as I post.]

How much water should we consume daily? How do I find this out? When is the best time to drink water?
Alot of people wait until the end of the day or before bed time to drink water. [Why do we do this? Our life is so busy we just go go go before we stop and tend to ourself. The end of the day is the winding down time so we tend to do most of our drinking then. This is not good. The biggest reason why, is because we will drink so much that it keeps us up through the night with frequent trips to the potty, little sleep.] Is this you? If so, find ways to change up your schedule and make room for a water drinking break.

How much water should I drink daily?
The average consumption daily is 2-3 quarts a day. [Say what, that is alot of water! Dont swet it!] Chances are you are or have already consumed close to or if not already half of what you need daily. How? Depending on how much fresh food you have already ate within the day you have taken in a % of the daily amount of water your body needs. [Do you eat fresh food during your days? Salads, lettice is mainly water, Veggies/Fruits, all mainly water. If you eat some to alot of fresh foods daily your about half or at even over half the amount of water in take your body needs daily.] The more living foods, fresh fruits and veggies you eat daily, help prevent : Cancer and Heart Disease.

Remember that if you are drinking alot of colas, coffee, teas all in which carry caffiene [a diaretic], you are losing just as much water as you have drank. So now would be a place to cut back or quit drinking these drinks. [Some people become addicted to caffiene and stopping the drink with out a cut back can be dangerous and cause some mild to serious withdrawls. If necessary consult your physician and begin a gradual cutback from the drinks, drinking less daily until you are able to be completely weaned.]

How do I find out how much water in take I need daily?
Take your body weight and divide it by 2. The answer you get [equals the ounces] is how much your body needs daily of water.

When is the best time to drink water?
Believe it or not, The best time to drink water is in the morning right after you get out of bed. 8-16 oz of water first thing in the am [Recommends also 30 mins. before any meal to 2 hours after meal. NOT before bedtime!] Why? This is the time we are less likely to be busy and less likely to be distracted. Dont wait until you are thirsty to get a drink of water! As I noted in the first post, By this time your body is already beginning the dehydration/rationing process. [Joints may be popping, snapping, may have heartburn/acid refulx, headache, stomach ache, irritable and other symptoms.] Also, we do not want to drink cold liquids [water or other drinks] with any of our meals. Why?

Allow me to paint the picture illustration on the dvd : Our stomach is like a furnace. When we eat foods it begins to heat up to break down the food for digest. Imagine drinking Ice cold water or Ice cold liquids as your stomach is heating up. [tsssssssssssssss.... [Sizzles, like throwing water over a fire to put the fire out, see the smoke?] Can you hear the tsssssssssssss... sizzling sound and visualize the smoke?
When we drink Ice cold drinks, we are putting out the fire in our furnace [stomach] making it harder for our stomach to digest the food we are eating. In turn this causes any of the noted: uncomfortable, irritable, Acid reflux/heartburn, indigestion. [eeeww, who wants to sit and burp up all that acid and sit uncomfortable the rest of the night. NOT ME!] So during any meal, it is best to drink room temperature or warmed liquids. NO ICE drinks with meals! Iced drinks wash out the enzymes that help digest your food. During meals you want to drink 4-8 oz of room temp or warmed liquids.

: The instructions/tools have been given to us to use. Yet we ignore the instructions to satisfy self rather then nourish and protect our body the way God intended us to. Our body is our Garden, We must take care of it, water it and nourish it. :

~ Tap Water ~
Tap water is great for watering your lawn, dishwashing, laundry washing, showering and flushing your toilet. Tap water is not good for drinking! Why? [You may say, "Well I dont drink tap water anyway." Yes you do. When you go to a restaraunt, order tea or coffee, They use tap water to make both drinks, or even asking for a glass of water. Its tap water you are drinking.] Tap water has chemicals and microbes that are toxins to our body.

Tap water consists of :
1. Chemicals in water - Federal Government only requires test for 30 - 40 chemicals in water for it to be labled safe to drink or use in cities.

2. Agripollution - Chemicals from crops being sprayed by farmers. The spraying of crops causes the chemicals to seep in to the ground and in to our water.

3. Drug residues & Shampoos - From pharmaceutical testing and disposing running off into water drains and pipes to water resivores. [ 1 research study tested and found that every body of water tested had large amounts of drug residues.]

4. Microbes - Viruses, Parasites and bacteria. [Chlorine used to clean the water kills bacteria BUT does not kill the parasites or viruses. Parasites can go into a cyst state and can resist anything while in the cyst state.]

Parasites such as:
Amiba
Giardia
Cryptosperidian
plastacystus

Organisms found in water not killed by the chlorine. As a result many people are developing diarrehea, intetinal diseases, intestinal flus and doctors are blaming it on stomach flus when many have gotten a parasite or a virus. [Chances are if the doctor is saying O its a type of stomach bug or virus, chances are you have one of these note above. We hear this often as Doctors can not diagnose everything.]

5. Chlorine in tap water - Kills most bacteria. Combines with organic materials and forms the toxins : Trihalomethanes. [which are a group of four chemicals that are formed along with other disinfection byproducts when chlorine or other disinfectants used to control microbial contaminants in drinking water react with naturally occurring organic and inorganic matter in water. The trihalomethanes are chloroform, bromodichloromethane, dibromochloromethane, and bromoform.] These toxins are the cancer promoting toxins. [ 10 out of 11 studies linked to : bladder cancer, miscarriages, birth deformities and spinal bifila.

6. Flouride in tap water - In toothpaste also. Too much flouride is dangerous, read the back of your toothpaste warning label. Too much flouride in take is dangerous. The type of flouride used in the the water is, Hydrofluosilicic acid [an unstable poisonous corrosive acid known primarily in the form of its salts]. This is one of the most courosic chemicals known to man and more toxic then flouride. Flouride inhabits 100 different enzymes in body and interferes with vitamins and mineral function that is linked to calcium deposits and arthritis. Flouride prevents tooth decay. In adults we get inhabitions of all these enzymes, we age, start to degenerate and dehydrate.

7. Aluminum - Also in tap water. Binds to organic materials and clumps together, which is why we dont see dirty water coming out of the faucets. Majority of alluminum is removed, however, there have been traces of aluminum in the tap water. Aluminum is linked to Alzhiemers Disease [Which is dramatically increasing]

Avoid Drinking Tap Water!
